Our Story
"As a boy, I was unaware that my woods were ecologically connected with any other forests. Nobody in the 1950s' talked about acid rain or holes in the ozone layer or global warming. But I knew my woods and my fields; I knew every bend in the creek and dip in the beaten dirt paths. I wandered those woods even in my dreams. A kid today can likely tell you about the Amazon rain forest- but not about the last time he or she explored the woods in solitude, or lay in the field listening to the wind and watching the clouds move."
Richard Louve, 2008. Last Child in the Woods
In Nature Dreams Program we feel deeply in our hearts that there is something missing for this generation of children- and it is just being children! Free children! Free from screens, free from stigmas, free from limiting beliefs and free to dream!
Our experience thought us that through reconnecting to nature we can, as human beings, reconnect to our roots and to our true essence and we can be free again!
We are a part of something bigger and we tend to forget that along the way... Nature has its own forces and rhythm and we are a part of that, so let's give that gift to our children: let's remind them to dance with the wind, with the sun and the moon, so they can fall in tune with the nature! Expose of our children to the variety of the world and open their consciousness and the combination of all this simply creates better and happier people!
"Nature" through the eyes of our children:
For children, nature comes in many forms. A newborn calf; a pet that lives and dies; a worn path through the woods; a fort nested in stinging nettles; a damp, mysterious edge of vacant lot- whatever shape nature takes, it offers each child an older, larger world separate from parents. Unlike television, nature does not steal time; it amplifies it (Richard Louv, 2008, Last Child in the Woods).
Nature inspires a child creativity by using the senses and imagination.
In nature a child can be free, he can dream, he can have privacy and he can be himself without the reflection of society- in other words: he can develop a strong personality and his own true essence can come alive, with no interference of another person, a child can be himself or whatever he chooses to be!
